many of you are aware there are scammers posing as various companies to try and get payment info from our unsuspecting customers. some glimmer of evil genius has caused this newest twist. The scammer calls them pretending to be us takes their card info (old hat) but then the new twist they dump them into the actual company phone system so the customer is then confused and distracted as their credit card gets drained 👍 and then proceeds to go crazy on the actual employee at the actual company, because after minutes of menus they start to get alerts about credit charges going thru 👍
I like to imagine some guy laughing like a maniac the first time they pulled it off or figured to connect them with the actual company as a distraction.
