Caller: HELLO? Can you hear me? Hello?
Me: yes, I can hear you, how c-
Caller: right, so ….
Is it me or is that not a normal way to start a conversation on the phone?? Surely they have just heard me introduce myself and ask them how I can help. I’ve even started to give it a few seconds before speaking to make sure they will definitely hear me, but this still happens.
Might seem petty but it really irritates me due to the sheer amount of people who do it. Is there anything that might be causing it or is it just people being people?
