Hate Surveys

I always believe there’s room for improvement and surveys can play a role in them but I’ve come to hate email surveys with a burning passion. By nature I tend to be quite helpful (maybe a tad too much). I’m good at my role, know 90% of procedures yet because of bone headed moves by other departments and management I feel like my capacity to help customers is limited.

I’ll have a meeting with my boss regarding these surveys as the surveys have a 40% impact on my bonus and team bonuses. I even got another survey fail because a customer put an issue they never talked about on my call.

If the surveys were instead used to provide coaching on ways to improve that would make sense but now I’m at the mercy of customers calling in about issues far beyond my control and now I’m just about to give up caring if I get a fail or not and not care about bonuses.

Sorry just needed to vent.
