“Why do you keep sending me only disconnection notices?”

I Work in a call center for a utility company. I had a call where someone called in complaining that she isn’t getting all of her bills, and the only ones that she’s been receiving is disconnection notices and she hasn’t received a “regular bill.”

I looked into her account and for the last few months she was correct in the sense that she’s only received disconnection notices due to the fact that all we’ve sent to her is disconnection notices. In which I updated her on this and the reason why is that every time she gets one she only pays the minimum payment to keep her account from disconnecting.

She calls bullshit on that and she says with a matter of fact tone that the next bill we send better’d be a “regular bill.” I told her that we would love to do so however in order for that to happen she’d have to make a payment to catch up her entire account balance making it to be $0.00 owed when we send the next bill.

I gave her the amount for that to happen which wasn’t too high compared to others I’ve seen, something around around the ballpark figure of $200, more or less.

She again called bullshit on that said “No, that’s not what I owe, send me a regular bill next month.”
She hung up before I was able to go over other options or payment arrangements to avoid disconnection.

Man, sometimes I just wonder how has she not worked that out already as to what is going on?
