“Try using your thumb”

[ad_1]

I work at a big US company that sells phones and services. Customers call in, they get redirected to what button they press when they dial, but most just dial a certain number and get to my department, which is sales. Disregarding that i can only do sales, no one really cares.

Que customer calling: “You fuckers sent me the wrong sized sim-card, i need a nano, and this one is too big”.

Now, if you have a smartphone, you know there’s at least 3 sizes of sim-cards.

“No ma’am, it is the right size, just look at it and you’ll see s cutout”

“No, it’s too big for my *whatever phone she had from us*, send me another one!”

Keep in mind, it takes up to 2 days for anyone to receive a sim-card because of business day only shipping.

“Believe me miss, it’s the right one, just push with your thumb on the chip.”

“LISTEN TO ME, THERE’S NO-oh, yea there we go. You idiots make everything so difficult to figure out. Bye”

Now, i think we can all agree not everyone is well versed in technology or really interested, but, the customer waited 30 minutes on hold, for a 1 minute conversation.
Me and my coworker/friend who was side by side just sat in silence after this whole ordeal, in disbelief.
