Trying to not get a tech shot

Forgive my formatting I have no excuse I am trash.

TLDR: a customer decides a tech has it out for him and calls in to threaten his life.

​

Cast:

Me: Me (Tier 1 lackey for a midsize WISP)

CX: Customer

CH: Crazy Husband to cx

DCW: a great gal in dispatch who always goes above and beyond for us in Tier 1

T: Tech driving to the job, only talked to him twice but he’s a no nonsense kinda guy

I was just coming off of break when I got a call, I ask for their account info-

Me: alright ma’am what can I do for you today?

CX: can you cancel our service call?

Me: sure I see it’s for poor connection looks like your dish may have moved any reason why y’all want to cancel?

CX: well -gets cut off by loud yell into phone-

CH: because if you don’t I’ll shoot the damn tech, he cannot come on my property

Me: -frozen for a sec-uh..ok yeah let me cancel that for ya then just one sec

CH: he just tried to call us tell him to leave

I immediately put the CH on hold and once my ears stopped ringing I called over to dispatch and got ahold of DCW explained to her what was going on and she dropped everything she was doing and called the tech adding him to the call-

T: Hey DCW what’s up?

DCW: hey I have a Tier 1 agent here who has a customer on the phone stating if you show up that he will shoot you if you step on his property

T: did he say what gun he had? -T starts laughing while DCW stutters- I’m just messin’ with ya I ain’t getting shot today no sir hey Tier 1 does he know if we don’t do this work he’s signal is gonna stay shit?

Me: I was getting ready to explain that to his wife when he took over the call

T: ah so he’s that kinda asshole alright send an abusive customer report in for me would ya? I’ll just head to the next call

Me: Done I’ll let him know

T: Thanks

\-I then disconnected T and DCW and took CH off of hold-

Me: alright sir your tech has been re-routed and the svc cancelled. I’m letting you know now I’m sending up a report as this behavior will not be tolerated.

CH: Fuck you I don’t give a shit

Me: roger that sir have a wonderful day -click-

After ~~I hung up~~ CH hung up I filed a report for the tech and included my call ID I actually didn’t hear anything back for almost a month but I randomly checked on it and our CEO actually personally called the customer and fired him for “threatening employee lives” while usually he’s the one to approve customer firings we have grown large enough normally it’s handled by billing or someone in sales as he gets busier, but after talking it over with T, he decided to let the CH know himself. Definitely made my day.
