I wish I could have done more for her

Worked a call center job for about 4 months, for a large utility company. Quit when my son was born. About a month before I quit I had a call with a woman who wasn’t able to pay her bill on time because she and her son had to flee an abusive situation. Talking to this person was awful, I cried on the call and took the rest of the day off it was that hard. On the call I was able to get her an extension and a $25 credit on the bill. I keep thinking back, like, I was planning to quit within the month anyways, and I could have easily just applie a full credit to her account, what were they gonna do, fire me?

Hope they are ok now.
