After 10 months I am out of there. No more having to deal with angry customers yelling at you over the stupidest things.
I liked people before I started this role… I’m leaving feeling a little more jaded.
One of my most memorable calls was organising to call back a member who had left us a voicemail. Upon answering his phone he screamed that he told the bank not to contact him anymore. I bit my tongue and reminded him that he had asked us to call him back. He responded oh yes well it’s sorted now and promptly hung up.
My team is taking bets to see when I’ll back back. I can tell you now the answer is NEVER.
