So I work for an insurance company here in Ireland for the last 3 years, we’ll call them company A. I had a man call last week who started to shout out a completely unrecognisable policy number, I kindly said “do you have a policy beginning with 5? One belonging to company A?” He replied “no, isn’t this XYZ insurance??” I (without having to) said “it is not, but I’d be happy to get their number for you if you’d like?”.
This man replied “sure what good would that do?”……….
