If you don’t listen to what I’m saying, don’t act surprised when I’m not jumping for joy to repeat myself

I’ve worked in a call center much longer than I’d like to admit. We have some information that we can text to our callers at the end of the calls, stuff like reminders and addresses. I have the same conversation like 15 times a day:

Me: I can either send you a text with the information or I can transfer you to a recorded line to listen to it.

Caller: can you send me an email?

Me: no, I don’t have access to an email for me to send that. I can either send you a text or we have a recorded line you can listen to

Caller: so you’re going to send an email?

Me: NO. AGAIN, I can send you a text or you can listen to the recorded line. Those are the only options I have; text or phone.

Caller: oh well I guess if it’s too much trouble for an email, you can send a text.

It’s not that it’s too much trouble. It’s that I LITERALLY have no way to send an email. I gave the two options I have. Why is it so hard for people to just listen to what I’m saying and pick one??? People make these calls last twice as long as they should because they just don’t listen to the information I’m giving them. Just an endless cycle of repeating myself all damn day. I hate it, so much.
