Getting personal….

I moved to a less stressful role within the same company after nearly 2 years in an intense role. Previous role was 95% inbound calls with a focus on AHT (ugh). New role more offline based and taking the odd calls when they come through. Sometimes in the new role I’d take a couple calls all day. All is great in my new role until I realise I need to call a customer as he needed to send in some documentation. So I call…and once I identified myself he became angry, stating he had sent in everything (he’d sent in the wrong documents) and he hasn’t got time for this when he would directly benefit financially by just being cooperative. He ended by slamming the phone down but with the parting shot… ‘you rang me to ask about this stuff to justify your petty job’. Or something along them lines anyway. The honeymoon period for my new role had definitely ended with that call.

Why must people be so rude when you’re trying to help 🙁
