I hate call center work so much.

So I work for At&t….

cx. yeah they told me tv service was only going to be $20 for the first month.

me: $20 is for the activation. that’s not a monthly fee. your first month is activation plus a fee for a month of service.

cx. ok well nobody told me that.

me. ok well you’re within your cancellation period. do you want to cancel?

cx. no i want you to make this right. y’all are taking money from me every 3 days.

me. okay. activation was charged on the 1st. you went back to the store on the 4th to change your plan incurring another 20 dollar fee. then your first months tv bill went through on the 8th.

cx. yeah why am i getting charged every couple days? att is stealing from me.

me. ok well this is a prepaid service. you’re paying for the month ahead of time.

cx. so i won’t have a payment for 2 months?

me. frustrated. sure. why not.

cx. i also have internet. when does that payment go through?

me. internet payments go through 7 to 10 days after installation.

cx. i thought internet was postpaid.

me. it’s att. they do whatever they want.

cx. so i have 2 different acct numbers?

me. yeah one for tv and one for internet.

cx. why?

me. because we do business the same way as comcast. we match all their practices.

cx. can i get a combined bill?

me. no it’ll always be 2 charges. do you want them filed on the same day?

cx. sure. the 1st of each month.

me. we can’t do that. i have to set your internet date to be the same as your tv.

cx. okay. thanks a lot buddy.
