My Best Day in a Call Center

About 5 years ago I was working for a call center company that was handling the phone customer service for various companies. The company I was handling phone calls for was for handling HSA’s, FSA’s and HRA’s (for those who are unfamiliar with those they basically are accounts that involve both medical and financial, so I got a double whammy to the frantic/rude customers).

One day I had gotten a transfer call from another department of customer service.

Other customer service: I’ve got a transfer for you.

Me: Ok, what’s the name?

Other customer service: Fredrick Kruger

Me: …………………………………………… Seriously?

Other customer service: (with a laugh in their tone) Yeah, seriously.

Me: …………………………………………. Do I want to take this call?

Other customer service: (laughs and then explains the issue and transfer’s the gentleman to me)

And that’s how I had a nice conversation with a serial killer, lol. He actually was quite a nice guy. I never mentioned his name because I was sure he had heard it many times before. And what made it even better was that later that day to offset a serial killer, I also talked to Walter Disney, lol. (No, of course not the person you’re thinking of, it was only a few years ago that I worked there and he was long dead by then)
