Customer gets back what she demanded

So this lovely customer calls and she requests something that can only be handled through a different department our policy is we first verify security with the customer before we transfer them to other departments, yet I kinda forgot the policy and this is how it went

Me: oh it seems that your request has to be done through a different department, would you like me to transfer you?

Cust: No, not yet while I have you on the line I first want you to check my bill and see what else you can do for me I’ve been on hold for too long.

Me (realizing that she is an annoying person): It will be my pleasure to assist you with everything.

I answer two of her questions then on the third question I realize that I forgot to verify with her security

Me: asks the security questions

Cust: I don’t know the answers

Me: I can’t provide you any more info without the security verification.

Cust: I want to speak to your manager.

Me: Sure you can once you verify security.

Cust: ok then transfer me to the other dept.

Me: only after you verify security

cust: Ok how do I change the code ur asking for, because I don’t remember it.

me: from the website.

Cust: ok wait with me till I change it..

Me: with pleasure.

Cust: Am on the website where can I change the code?

me: we don’t do website support on this department, but perhaps you can use the search bar.

after 8 minutes of working hard the customer finally found out how to change her code

Cust: Whaat?!?! I need my old code to change it to a new one?

Me: ofcourse you do.

Cust: why you didn’t tell me this?

Me: you only asked where you can change the code….

Cust: you %#@@#$ @#@#@$@$ !@$#!!@ *Hangs up*

Basically she wanted me to “work for her” and she ends up working for 10 minutes before getting nothing 😀 ohhh the people we meet
