This happened to me yesterday and I’ve never been so mad
M: me SC: stupid customer
M: hi your through to speghtifingers from (company) how can I help?
SC: hi this is stupid customer calling in regards to stupid customer husbands account- I need to make a payment
M: well okay do you have authority to speak on stupid customer husbands account?
SC: no- I’ve done this many times before but my husband is here!
M: okay well if you just pop your husband on, we can go through security and ill be fine to take a payment! No problemo!
SC: my husbands on a work conference call – can you just go through security with me! I’ll answer the questions
(At our CC you can take payments from someone who does not have authority as long as they have an account number)
Me: no we absolutely cannot do that! But if you have an account number we can go ahead- no problemo!
At this point SC starts screaming down the phone! Literally would not let me get one word in!
SC : I’VE DONE THIS BEFORE THERES ABSOLUTELY NO GDPR I JUST WANT TO MAKE A PAYMENT. IVE BEEN ON HOLD FOR 20 MINS!!!!!!!!
ME: if you continue talking I will release this call! All I need to do is to speak to the account holder for security purposes or if you have an account number!
SC: THERES ABSOLUTELY NO GDPR !!!! CJSHDOFKCNZKSKFJXOAKRMCKAM
ME: I’m going to release this call!
SC: I WANT A MANAG……..
absolutely fuming! Appreciate my cc and that we don’t have to put up with rubbish like this!
