"So I’m wrong, despite the fact that I’ve rented from your company for 20 years?"

I work for a car rental company as a specialist. Basically when a customer demands a supervisor I take the call.

So this guy picked up the car a few days ago, and called us to request the satellite radio It’s not uncommon for a customer to call and request that we add insurance or counter products to his/her rental. Unfortunately, once you pick up the car, the only thing we can modify is the return location and date, that’s it. Refusing to believe the agent, and already in a bad mood, he requested a supervisor.

C: Customer

C: Listen, HenriquesDumbCousin, I’m asking something very simple, okay? Just add the satellite radio to my reservation. The person I spoke with told me that this is an open contract and he cannot do it, so I need to go to the closest location. That’s a big inconvenience for me.

H: I do apologize for the inconvenience, sir. What the agent told you is correct, since you already picked up the car, it’s not possible to add the satellite radio from my end, only someone at the counter would be able to, you’ll have to go to the closest location.

C: I’ve been renting from your company for 20 years and I’ve never been told something like that.

He continues to tell me that it is possible, that he rents from us every week and that this is unacceptable, basically your average entitled customer.

H: This is an open rental, sir. It’s not possible to attach counter products or protection if you already picked up the vehicle, you need to go to the closest location so that they can assist you.

C: So you’re telling me that I’m wrong, despite the fact that I’ve rented from your company for 20 years? Does that make sense to you HenriquesDumbCousin?

H: There’s always a first time, sir. Nothing to worry about.

C: Heh… yeah, a first time… go fuck yourself!
