Customers are basically toddlers who can dial a phone number

I had a call today with a grown man who acts worse than my 7 year old

I work for a company that sells snacks. Normally calls are about quality issues or questions about things like nutrition and allergens. Which I understand can be very important. But at the end of the day of you don’t like an ingredient, just don’t eat it.

Customer: why do you use saturated fats in your crackers?

Me: looks up script to achieve the desired taste and texture

Customer: but whyyyyyyy (i kid you not he whined like a child)

Me: repeats script

Customer: but the other company doesn’t do it!

Me: anything else I can help you with?

Customer: I will never eat your products again!

Cool. I never have to talk to you again.

How do these people function in life?
