This is my fist post ever but seeing how everyone is having a blast with this stories I decided to get into the trend. :3

So, I used to work at a call center for a car insurance in the southern area of the US. and one of the mayor issues we had with customers is that, when a new policy was created the bill would go higher due to new customers not mentioning they had violations on their drivers record ( speed tickets and stuff like that) so I get a call from this lady that wants to know the reason why her bill went 5 dollars higher (Take in mind she was one of the LUCKIEST cases I´ve ever got, usually when stuff like that happens the bill can go up to 150 dollars)

Me: Thanks for calling **** how may I assist you today?
Customer: Yeah hi. I need to know why my bill went up, I barely created the account
Me: No problem Ma´am in order to do that i need to open your account

*Bunch of account verification*

Me: Alright ma´am seems that your account went up due to not stating the fact that you had violations on your driver record when you created the account
Customer: W-well, that can´t be right!
Me: Were you creating your policy/account with us during a call with one of my co-workers from the sales department?
Customer: No! I created the account in your website and provided the correct info! (our website totally sucks btw and we´ve told customers by mail, calls and even in our website that if they want to create any accounts with us or have any questions that it would be better to call us)

In this situations our system will provide us with the customer driver record, so we can confirm the exact date, code and description of their violation, in this case it was only a small speeding ticket (again she got lucky)

Me: In that case ma´am I need to confirm that the information that you provided in our website is correct, could you tell me what information you provided?
Customer: I put that I did had violations on my driver record
Me: I meant the date of the violation.
Customer: I did put it!
Me: Ma´am which date did you put in the website?
Customer: ….
Me: Let´s try another thing, could you provide me the description of the violation?
Customer: That I had a violation
Me: ……. *Head smashing my keyboard*

At this point I know this lady is full of BS and just not admitting that she didn´t place any info, but I wanted to get sassy

Me: Alright then ma´am so you did place the correct info right?
Customer: I´m telling you I did!
Me: In that case could you provide me the CODE of the violation on your record?
Customer:* complete random number*
Me: Thank you so much ma´am…. unfo-
Customer: Was that the correct info?
Me: Unfortunately that was the incorrect info, as I have the full record of the violation and the files of your first quote when you created the account, it says that you indeed never provided us with that information. Due to that the account will stay that way.
Customer: But I did place the info.
Me: Ma´am you provided wrongfull data and failed to confirmed the info that I have in my system. Info that was provided to us by your state DMV so we have the correct file. If you have any troubles with the bill getting hire you can make a complaint to corporate but I higly doubt that will change the bill. Is there anything else I can help you with?

Customer hangs up
