Howdy fellow call center troopers, I am back to tell a wonderful story from escalations. I am working from home for my online only bank for our escalations department. The backstory, our bank is currently waving fees on accounts due to COVID-19. Easy enough right? Wrong people are still apparently angry…
Me: This is Dan a floor supervisor here at the bank and I understand that you are having a issue with your account today?
Customer: Yes, I don’t understand why I can’t pay a wire fee.
Me: Sir, due to COVID-19 we are waving wire fees so you can have money quicker than normal and keep yourself safe during these troublesome times.
Customer: I was never affected by this virus and I don’t care about it I just want you to take $20 from my account for the wire fee.
Me: I understand you are frustrated sir however we aren’t charging this fee.
Customer: FINE I UNDERSTAND DON’T FUCKING TAKE MY MONEY disconnected
