Customer Logic

I hate COVID-19, but what I hate more is the Zombie Apocalypse of Stupidity that it has caused. I have dealt with 100 Karens who think that the rules don’t apply to them for one reason or another. I’ve had to get my tinfoil hat when I had a customer explained that the virus is a liberal hoax, and the only reason that Trump said anything about was to appease the liberals. This wonder of stupidity sounded like what I assume it would look like if you put Fox News in a blender and hit puree. This woman’s level of stupidity and entitlement annoyed me.

I will preface this by saying, I know that times are tough and people are out of work. I am sympathetic to you, but people are still fucking adults who need to listen fucking when someone is trying to help you.

M: Me

BG: Broke Grandma

M: Greeting, how may I help?

BG: My card payment is due in a few days, and I am out of work because my grandkids are out of school. I want to know if any arrangements can be made.

M: I am sorry to hear that, but to make any payment arrangements, you would need to contact the card company.

BG: I tried, and it is all automated, I was unable to get a person.

M: I understand, I can transfer to an agent to see what they can do for you.

BG: IT IS AUTOMATED!! I CAN’T A PERSON!!

M: I understand, but I can get to an agent.

BG: WELL I GUESS YOU DON’T WANT TME TO PAY MY BILL!!

M: Please understand that I cannot set up any form of a payment plan; this would have to go through the card company.

BG: IT’S AUTOMATED!

M: I understand, but I have a way of getting you to an agent so they can work with you.

BG: YOU DON’T WANT TO HELP ME! I AM JUST NOT GOING TO PAY MY BILL! YOU DON’T WANT TO ANYTHING FOR US POOR SENIORS WHO ARE OUT OF WORK RIGHT NOW!

M: I am trying to help, as I have a way of getting to an agent.

BG: IT’S AUTOMATED. IT’S AUTOMATED….

*She pretty much faded out that point. No matter how many times that, I said that access to a specific number that would get her to an agent, she would yell AUTOMATED and finally hung up on me.
