I’m not sure why I always let this annoy me so much

Me: My name is ___. How may I direct your call?

Caller: Yeah, I haven’t been able to get a hold of my navigator for like, a week. I’ve been leaving her messages and getting nothing.

Me: Okay, could I have your name please?

Caller: _____.

Me: Okay, I’ll connect you to your navigator’s supervisor, ___. She’ll be able to further help.

Caller: How do you know who my navigator’s supervisor is?!!

Me: ….Because you just told me your name.

Caller: MY name??!?!

Me: Yes.

Caller: I told you my name?! And you’re transferring me to ___’s supervisor??!?

Me: ….yes.

Caller: Ok then.
