indicent proposal

So, this is a little story from the past as I have left the company (and the career).

At the time I was training a new coworker. She would listen in on my calls and we would talk them through afterwards. Now, our small team was very varied in backround. I was a historian with a teaching degree, another was a highschool dropout who had previously worked in tourism and so on and on. The young woman in question was a psychologist who took the job until she was able to build up her own practice.

This is the end of one of the calls she listened in on.

me: “Now sir, can I do anything else for you?”

client: (in a husky voice) “Well… there is one more thing you could do but I don’t think you’ll agree to it.”

coworkers’ mouth drops.

me: “I’m sorry, sir, but I’m afraid you’ll have to call a different line for that. If that was all I wish you a good day.”

I know, fairly lame but still…
