I worked in a call center for a botanical gardens with a nighttime exhibition. There was heavy rain but the exhibition was still navigable so we were not exchanging or refunding tickets.
People don’t like rain in Los Angeles. Some highlights of the reasons I was given why I had to let them change their tickets:
“I’m an old woman, I’m damaged goods”
“My girlfriend’s cat can’t get wet”
(Not related to rain) “my girlfriend is John Mayer’s PA and he NEEDS her tonight”
(Also not rain related) the aide to the congressman of the 8th district of New York called nonstop despite being told every time we were sold out
Tickets were $24-$28 a head so I understand why people were upset but still.
