Ah, good oll’ times in gaming support.

One of the games I was supporting (I supported 4 games at the same time) was a farming game. I absolutely hated the game, but had to play in order to know what the players were experiencing. Such fun – yay…

This was also the only game where from where you were able to see the fb accounts connected to it. This was top secret, and under no circumstances were we allowed to share this information with the players. But at least knowing what kind of person is bugging you from the other side of the chat is kind of amusing.

Most of the players were either young children, or elderly. Not really surprising seeing the game for what it was.

It was also the absolute worst game to support, as people would complain, not understand the basics of technology or just beg for free stuff. No funny stories with hackers or sold accounts, just boring and annoying people. The game was also an absolute minefield of bugs, which sometimes caused the game to completely collapse.

At one point I got a message from an old lady who was a regular. I immediately got annoyed when I saw her name pop up and poked my colleague begging him; “C’mon! I already had her yesterday and the day before..” But he just laughed at me and told me that if he ever had to speak to her again he’d throw his laptop out of the window and that he was rejecting her tickets while hoping the managers didn’t see.

Ugh.. No help. So with a feeling of dread I started reading the message that was basically stating; TSSSK TSSK TSSK! YOU ARE STEALING FROM ME AGAIN! YOU VILE HUMAN BEING! YOU HAVE TO GET ME MY UPGRADE ITEMS RIGHT NOOOOOWWWWWWW OR I WILL TELL ALL MY FRIENDS TO STOP PLAYING!!!!! (Internal eyeroll) Here we go again..

Goody twoshoes as I was I asked her what had happened and why she felt like we stole from her.

I WAS DOING THIS THING IN THE GAME AND I FINISHED IT AND I DIDNT GET ANY REWARDS!!! I WANT THEM NOOOOOWWWWWW! OR I WILL STOP PLAYIIING!

Oh dear.. Knowing how bug invested the game was it could well be that she actually didn’t get rewards. But since she was contacting me every single day I also didn’t really wanted to give her free stuff. I decided to make her work for it, so I send her a message asking her to send me a screenshot of the issue area to verify the issue. (Big mistake).

After going back and forth a few more messages she finally seemed to have managed during my lunch break (email, not chat suppory).

HERE YOU HAVE YOUR SCREENSHOT!! NOW GIVE ME MY STUFF OR TSSK TSSK TSSK!

I see the message with the attachment. But then it comes. Even before I open it the messages are followed by at least 20 more stating:

NOOOOOO! DO NOT OPEN THAT! CLOSE TICKET! CLOSE TICKETTTTTTT!

So of course I opened the attachment (duh). And there it was, full glory. The body of a woman that was at least 70 year old, with a HUUUUUUUGE big black dildo in her… ahem. A quick fb verification confirmed it was her. I tapped my colleague on the shoulder and 3 weeks later we were still laughing at it.

Never heard from this lady again weirdly enough. I’m wondering if she’s ever got back to complaining to that support team.
