First post here. I just wanted to share something I really appreciate, and that’s callers that will come around and apologize for their rudeness or bad attitude. I think it takes a lot for a person to come back from screaming at someone over the phone to telling them they are sorry.

I just had a guy that did exactly that. He was yelling from the moment I answered the phone because we are having a high call volume due to companies merging and a few people on my inbound team being ill. It’s been rough. I let the guy know I understood where he was coming from and apologized for the hold, and he did something that rarely ever happens… he sighed, said he was sorry and appreciated our hard work, and he didn’t mean to dump all of that on me.

Guy, wherever you are, I appreciate you. Hope your day gets better, and that our queue clears up soon and you don’t have to deal with that again.
