I’m new to the call center world, but a tale to share.
I received a call today from a lady from New York. NYC to be precise. My call center handles medical billing and payment processing. When I answered the call today, the lady was going on and on about the last rep she talked to and how he hung up on her for being loud. The first thing she said to me?
“Honey, please understand, I’m Italian and I’m from New York. Being loud is all I know how to do!”
Needless to say, New Yorkers never seem to have easy phone calls. They always have the most questions and the most complex accounts. Then this lady today forewarning me she’s Italian. Bless her soul!
